Patience

On the way back to the car after a picnic, I spotted this butterfly fluttering around. My mother was tired, but patiently waited for me to have my impromptu photo-shoot. The butterfly, too, seemed to sense that I needed it to wait, and it landed and sat very still for me while I tried out different angles and fought with my camera to get it to focus. Fifty photos later, I captured this, my favorite of the shots of this beautiful, patient butterfly.

This is why I try to always have a camera with me.
